The "Inland Sea Breeze" in Oklahoma: August 17th, 1999

Setting the Table. Mother Nature dumps up to an inch of rainfall over three counties in southeastern Oklahoma:

• 72-hour Rainfall, ending 7:00 CDT August 13th ... the vast majority of the rain in extreme southeast Oklahoma fell on the afternoon of the 13th.

The Response. *FOUR* days later ... here are some clear-air mode radar images from KTLX at about 30 minutes apart. Note the boundary pushing westward out of Pushmataha County. This is consistent with the "inland sea breeze" described in Yan & Anthes (19??)
